Christmas Candle
Well, It has been almost an entire year since I started this blog and I have something new to post.
It was time yesterday for the annual "Employee Appreciation" (read: "Christmas") party with the usual grab bag. Again this year I decided to carve something as a gift. So here it is: A Christmas Candle and Candlestick.
I turned the candlestick out of Red (I believe) Oak (2 pieces) and then added the holly sprig and candle, both carved from Basswood. The candle is removable so the new owner can put a real candle in if she likes.
It was well received but wasn't selected until late into the grab bag so it didn't get traded around as much as last year's Hobo and Dog (see my earlier post).
I like it well enough that I plan to have both Lovespoons AND Candlesticks at next year's Craft Show. I hope you like it, too.
'Til next time...keep makin' chips
